We are a leading independent telecoms infrastructure company, with one of the most extensive tower portfolios across Africa and the Middle East. Our business model promotes tower infrastructure sharing and enables mobile network operators (MNOs) to deliver mobile connectivity more quickly, reliably, cost-effectively, and with a lower carbon footprint. In turn, this supports the expansion and quality of mobile connectivity, driving sustainable development in the communities where we operate.

What We Do

We build, acquire, lease-up, and operate telecommunications tower infrastructure that accommodates and powers the needs of multiple tenants. Our customers are major Mobile Network Operators (MNOs), whom we serve across high-growth markets in Africa and the Middle East. Our purpose, mission, and sustainable business strategy are underpinned by our core values of Partnership, Integrity, and Excellence.

Overview

This internship opportunity is offered through the Mastercard Foundation Associate Program, an initiative aimed at equipping young African graduates with valuable workplace experience, technical skills, professional development opportunities, and leadership capabilities.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Site Performance Analyst Intern will support the Performance Engineering team in monitoring, analyzing, and improving the performance of Helios Towers Malawi’s network infrastructure. The role provides an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in telecommunications infrastructure, operational analytics, power systems monitoring, and performance management within a leading telecommunications infrastructure company.

The successful candidate will work closely with Engineering, Operations, and Field Support teams to analyze site performance data, identify trends and anomalies, support issue resolution, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance network reliability and operational efficiency.
