AREAS OF SPECIALISATION

We are seeking lecturers in the following areas:

Social Work Lecturer

  • Deliver high-quality lectures in social welfare policy, human behavior, community development, counseling, and social justice.
  • Facilitate student learning through role-plays, community case studies, and field-based experiential learning.
  • Develop and update course materials to address contemporary social issues such as poverty, gender-based violence, child protection, and mental health.
  • Conduct research in areas such as social protection, community resilience, marginalized populations, and social intervention strategies.
  • Participate in community engagement by collaborating with NGOs, government agencies, and grassroots organizations to address social challenges.
  • Mentor and support students in developing empathy, ethical practice, and practical intervention skills for social work careers.
  • Participate in academic and administrative activities, including field placement coordination and community partnership building.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Master's degree in a relevant field (PhD is an added advantage).
  • Relevant teaching and/or industry experience.
  • Strong commitment to academic excellence, student development and research.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic university environment.
