We’re now expanding our team in Lilongwe, Malawi, and looking for a skilled Software Engineer to help us design, build, and maintain world‑class applications.

What You’ll Do

• Develop web applications with Next.js & React
• Build and maintain REST APIs using Node.js & .NET (C#)
• Design efficient database schemas in MSSQL, PostgreSQL
• Implement caching, sessions, and queues with Redis
• Collaborate with product, design, and QA teams to deliver features end‑to‑end

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong skills in JavaScript & TypeScript
• Hands‑on experience with Next.js, React, Node.js, C#, .NET
• Solid expertise in PostgreSQL & MSSQL (schema design, query tuning, migrations)
• Practical knowledge of Redis (caching, pub/sub, queues)
• Experience with ORMs (Prisma, Drizzle, EF Core)
• Familiarity with REST APIs, authentication (JWT, OAuth2), HTML5/CSS3, Tailwind CSS
• Understanding of web security basics (OWASP Top 10, input validation, secrets management)

Nice to Have

• Docker & containerized deployments
• Monitoring/logging tools (Sentry, Grafana, Datadog)
• Microservices or event‑driven architecture
• React Native or mobile development
