Daeyang Luke Hospital (DLH) is a fast-growing Mission hospital under the Christian Health Association of Malawi (CHAM). Daeyang Luke Hospital aims to glorify God by loving and serving anyone who is in need. In pursuit to achieve the goals and objectives of the hospital, DLH is seeking to engage the services of the following positions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand the nature of X-rays, Ultrasound Scanning and CT as Diagnostic tools
  • Perform all general technique-skeletal work, chest, abdomen and special examinations using contrast media
  • Perform ultrasound scanning procedures
  • Adhering to strict safety regulations to minimize radiation doses to both patients and staff
  • Maintaining a sterile environment and following all hospital health and safety protocols
  • Monitoring patients during examinations, ensuring their safety, and following procedures to prevent unnecessary exposure to radiation
  • Recognize faults in radiographic equipment and accessories and report to appropriate authority
  • Recognize the radiographic appearance and take necessary supplementary projections for better diagnosis
  • Have necessary social, ethical and technical skills to ensure the smooth running of the radiology department and care of patients

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in diagnostic medical Sonography / Diploma in Radiography
  • Experience in Ultrasound (Sonography) will be an added advantage
  • Registered with the Medical Council
  • Valid practising licence
  • At least two (2) years' relevant work experience will be an added advantage
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team

  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
