General Description of the Role
The Stores Controller will be responsible for managing and overseeing engineering store operations, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, issuance, and control of inventory. The ideal candidate will maintain accurate stock levels, support operational efficiency, and uphold high standards of store management.
Key requirements include
- Manage day‑to‑day operations of the engineering store, including receipt, storage, and issuance of parts, ensuring accuracy of stock levels.
- Conduct regular stock takes and reconciliations.
- Monitor and control inventory to minimize stockouts and overstocking.
- Prepare weekly replenishment lists and submit to the Supply Chain Manager.
- Ensure all delivered goods and services comply with Purchase Orders, contract terms, and user specifications.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of main and subsidiary storerooms at all times.
- Identify and list slow‑moving and obsolete stock for review by the Supply Chain Manager.
- Perform any other duties as assigned from time to time.
Qualifications and Key prerequisites
- Advanced Diploma in Procurement and/or Supply management.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar or related role.
- Strong proficiency in inventory management.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Applications
- Experience in accounting software is an added advantage
- Ability to manage time effectively in a high‑pressure environment.
- Be ready to work odd hours including
- Team‑oriented with a commitment to efficiency.
- Self‑motivated, enthusiastic, and willing to take on responsibility.
- Must provide at least three traceable referees.
