Background
Telekom Networks Malawi Plc (TNM) is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the position of Strategic Channels Manager. This is a permanent role offering an opportunity to lead and manage key national channel outlets, including chain stores and financial institutions, to deliver growth across TNM’s commercial portfolios.
Job Summary
To manage strategic channels and ensure achievement of commercial objectives across subscriber acquisition, revenue growth, mobile money penetration, HBB sales, merchant payments expansion, and channel compliance.
Essential Functions / Tasks
- Gross Adds: Drive net new subscriber acquisitions from all strategic channels.
- Recharges: Grow monthly recharge value, increase recharge frequency, and uplift ARPU across partner outlets.
- Mpamba: Increase active wallets, grow float, and enhance cash in/cash out volumes and agent activity rates.
- HBB: Deliver HBB sales targets, ensure high installation completion rates, reduce early churn, and improve NPS.
- Merchant Payments: Expand merchant acceptance points and drive growth in monthly transactions and GMV.
- Channel Compliance: Ensure adherence to KYC/AML requirements, accuracy of channel data, and address audit findings.
- Execution Quality: Maintain high availability, visibility, planogram compliance, and strong promoter productivity.
Requirements
1. Experience:
3–5 years in channel management, key account management, or distribution within FMCG, telecom, or fintech.
2. Track Record:
Demonstrated success managing national retail chains and/or financial institutions.
3. Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of mobile money, payment acceptance, and broadband sales; advanced Excel/BI data analysis capabilities and strong financial acumen.
4. Communication:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing, Economics, or related field.
MBA is an added advantage.
