Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and supporting core lending and finance systems, ensuring system stability, data integrity, and efficient operations. The role includes providing user support, overseeing system governance and compliance, coordinating with vendors and stakeholders, and supporting system enhancements, testing, and the implementation of new products and processes.

Responsibilities and Duties

Core Lending and Business Systems Management

  • Owning the day-to-day management of the Musoni Loan Management System (LMS), ensuring system stability, data accuracy, and availability.
  • Supporting and maintaining the OMFIN Loan Origination Engine, including product configuration, rule changes, and user access management.
  • Overseeing Collections and Recoveries systems, ensuring workflows, reporting, and integrations function as intended.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for system vendors and implementation partners.

Finance Systems Support

  • Supporting the operation and integrity of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) and related finance systems for OMFIN.
  • Working closely with Finance to ensure accurate system postings, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Assisting with system enhancements, upgrades, and issue resolution relating to finance platforms.

User Support and Operational Enablement

  • Providing first- and second-line system support to business users across Operations, Credit, Finance, and Collections.
  • Troubleshooting system issues, coordinating fixes with vendors, and tracking resolution to closure.
  • Developing basic user guides, SOPs, and training material to support effective system usage.

Systems Governance and Controls

  • Ensuring appropriate access controls, role-based permissions, and segregation of duties across systems.
  • Supporting system-related audit requests and internal control reviews.
  • Assisting in ensuring compliance with Group IT, data governance, and security standards.

Enhancements, Testing, and Change Management

  • Supporting system changes, configurations, and upgrades, including user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Coordinating testing of new products, rules, and process changes within the systems.
  • Maintaining documentation of system configurations and changes.

Stakeholder and Group Collaboration

  • Liaising with Group IT, Risk, Finance, and external service providers to align systems with business and governance requirements.
  • Providing regular system status updates to management.
  • Supporting system readiness for new product launches and pilots.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of a degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or any related qualification from a recognized institution.
  • Certification in IT security , Cloud Computing , ITIL or Agile.
  • Minimum of 3 years practical experience in IT systems, or business systems support role.
  • Experience in supporting core banking, lending, or financial services systems
  • Exposure to loan management systems, origination platforms, or collections systems is an advantage.

Key Skills And Competencies

  • Strong understanding of lending systems and workflows (origination, servicing, collections).
  • Practical exposure to finance systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into system configurations.
  • Strong coordination and vendor management skills.
  • High attention to detail and data integrity.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work across functions.
  • Guides and directs the development, production and credit aspects of the organization’s products and services
