Role Overview

The successful candidate will:

• Teach Physical Education to girls across designated year groups
• Coordinate and promote girls’ sporting activities
• Foster fitness, teamwork, discipline, resilience, and sportsmanship
• Contribute to both academic and extracurricular aspects of school life
• Support students’ holistic development through sport and physical activity

Key Responsibilities

Teaching and Student Development

• Teach PE to a high standard
• Track and support student progress
• Maintain accurate records of achievement and participation
• Support students with Individual Learning Plans
• Set and mark prep work regularly
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and engagement

Sports and Extracurricular Activities

• Organize and supervise girls’ sports activities and competitions
• Coach students in various sports disciplines
• Prepare teams for inter-school competitions and events
• Support co-curricular and extracurricular programs

Professional Responsibilities

• Collaborate with colleagues, boarding staff, and parents
• Contribute to departmental planning and schemes of work
• Develop and share quality teaching resources
• Participate in professional development activities
• Ensure student safety and uphold school discipline

Essential Qualifications and Skills

• Degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field
• Recognized teaching qualification
• Experience teaching in a secondary school
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to motivate and inspire students
• ICT literacy for teaching and learning purposes

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

• Experience teaching the Cambridge curriculum or equivalent
• Experience coaching multiple sports disciplines
• Experience organizing school sports fixtures and events
