About Us

Lumina Creative Labs is a global remote digital agency with a range of global and Malawi based projects. An example project is Malawistock.com. Here our work appears on global platforms and tells authentic African stories through images.

We are launching a new project and are looking for a freelance Technical Editor to help transform technical content into clear, engaging articles for a wider audience. Work will be assigned as needed, with compensation provided for each completed article.

What We’re Looking For

Candidates with an engineering academic background and/or prior professional experience in engineering, who have transitioned into journalism or technical content work

Candidate with bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or a related field

Proven experience in technical editing, proofreading, or content refinement, with a strong track record of producing clear, accurate, and well-structured content

What You Will Do

  • Edit articles to improve clarity, flow, and readability
  • Fix grammar, spelling, and sentence structure
  • Make content more engaging, easy to read, and audience-friendly
  • Ensure a consistent tone and style across articles
  • Return clean, polished versions ready for publication

What You Need

  • Previous experience in editing, proofreading, content writing, or a similar role
  • Excellent written English and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to understand and refine structured or technical content
  • High level of discipline and ability to manage deadlines independently

This is a fully remote opportunity with assignment-based work. There are no fixed working hours, allowing you to contribute alongside your existing professional or academic commitments.
