Waiter/Waitress Responsibilities

  • Welcome and attend to campsite guests in a friendly and professional manner
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately and serve meals promptly
  • Ensure dining, outdoor seating, and serving areas are clean, organized, and comfortable for guests
  • Set up tables, buffets, camp dining stations, and service areas before meal times and events
  • Maintain high standards of customer service and hospitality
  • Assist guests with menu choices and respond to inquiries courteously
  • Support food and beverage service during campsite events, bonfires, and group activities
  • Ensure utensils, plates, glasses, and serving equipment are properly cleaned and arranged
  • Help monitor stock of serving items and report shortages when necessary
  • Work closely with the chef to ensure smooth and timely service delivery
  • Handle guest concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all guest service areas
  • Carry out any other duties assigned by management

Qualifications and Experience

  • Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality or a related field
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a restaurant, lodge, hotel, or campsite environment
  • Good customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of hygiene and food handling standards will be an added advantage

Overall all interested candidates should have good Christian values and should be willing to relocate to Khwawa, Karonga.
