ACCOUNTANT

Location: Lilongwe

Duties and Responsibilities

Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (profit & loss, balance sheets, cash flow).

Bookkeeping & Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, ledger accounts, and manage general accounting operations.

Tax Compliance: Prepare and submit tax returns, VAT, and manage compliance with legal standards.

Accounts Management: Handle accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and expense tracking.

Analysis & Auditing: Analyze financial performance for budgeting and forecasting, and conduct internal audits.

Software Utilization: Maintain records using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and spreadsheets.

Minimum Qualification

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field.

Certification: CPA (Certified Public Accountant), ACCA, or equivalent preferred.

Skills: High attention to detail, strong numerical proficiency, and proficient in accounting software.

Experience: Proven experience of more than 3 years as an accountant.
