OVERVIEW

Lotus Africa Limited seeks a qualified and motivated Acid Plant Instrumentation Technician to install, calibrate, maintain, and repair instrumentation and control systems. The role ensures accuracy, reliability, and functionality of field instruments, analysers, and control devices to support plant performance, safety, and compliance.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • MSCE Certificate or equivalent (Higher Education an advantage)
  • Qualified Instrument Trade Certificate from a recognized institution
  • Minimum 3 years’ trade experience in a fixed/acid plant
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English

DUTIES:

  • Achieve zero safety incidents with strict adherence to PPE and safety protocols
  • Maintain optimal uptime of engineering systems
  • Ensure >80% planned maintenance ratio
  • Complete and document 100% of job cards
  • Respond promptly to breakdowns and reduce unplanned downtime
  • Deliver high quality workmanship and code compliant instrumentation work
  • Collaborate with supervisors to schedule routine and non routine maintenance
  • Review job specifications, drawings, and procedures before execution
  • Perform preventive maintenance on transmitters, control valves, PLC/SCADA interfaces
  • Troubleshoot and repair instrumentation faults (signal transmission, loop issues, sensor failures)
