Position Context
Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader, the Biomedical Technician will install, inspect, maintain and repair medical equipment to ensure they are functional at all times.
Specific duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Installing new machines properly
- Reporting and resolving equipment faults timely
- Inspecting hospital equipment on regular basis
- Ensure minimized equipment down-time
- Training users on care and use of equipment
- Complying with all health and safety procedures
- Submission of periodic reports on equipment performance
- Preparing and submitting monthly and ad-hoc reports timely
Educational Qualifications and Experience
- Must have a diploma in Bio-medical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in hospital equipment and facilities management
Requisite knowledge, abilities and skills
- Good technical skills
- Documentation and record keeping skills
- Analytical skills
- Ability to maintain confidential information
- Ability to create a safe environment
- Flexibility
- Multi-tasking skills
