CARDS OPERATIONS OFFICER
Reports To: Head of Operations
Role Overview
Offer day-to-day cards operations and administration support.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage cards operations and cards lifecycles
- Manage a secure chain of custody, stock handling. inventory controls and reconciliation processes
- Support the monitoring and smooth running of national switch operations, including transaction processing, system availability, and incident escalation
- Assist in the coordination of operational activities with participating financial institutions, service providers, and internal technical teams on cards operations
- Maintain accurate operational records, logs, reports, and documentation for compliance and audit purposes
- Ensure compliance with national and international card scheme standards and adherence to information security standards on cards payments
- Provide office administration support including coordination of meetings, filing systems, correspondence, and general office logistics.
- Assist in tracking operational issues, ensuring timely resolution and follow-up with relevant stakeholders
- Inventory management
- Support implementation of operational procedures, controls, and service level agreements (SLAs).
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in IT related field.
- At least 2-4 years’ experience in operations support, administrative coordination in a financial services environment
- Experience in payments systems, banking operations, or digital financial services will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of PCI DSS and ISO 8583 messaging standards
- Experience in a switch or banking environment or shared payment infrastructure and working with multi-stakeholder environments is desirable
