Job Overview
MERA is seeking Compliance Support Workers on a short-term basis to assist in monitoring and enforcing compliance within the fuel sector, particularly addressing illegal fuel vending and related activities.
The Role
- Support field compliance and enforcement activities
- Monitor and report illegal fuel-related practices
- Assist in data collection and documentation
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct field observations and spot checks with MERA officers and authorities
- Capture and submit geotagged photos and reports using an Android phone
- Monitor and report illegal fuel vending, smuggling, and hoarding
- Support intelligence gathering and documentation for compliance actions
- Participate in briefings, reporting sessions, and awareness activities
Qualifications and Requirements
- Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE)
- Must own a functional Android phone with camera and location services
- Basic knowledge of mobile apps and data collection tools is an advantage
- High integrity, reliability, and familiarity with assigned district
Terms of Engagement
- Duration: 3 months
- Grade: Non-graded
- Reporting To: Fuels Regulation Specialist
- Remuneration: Attractive allowance
