Background

Target Security, a fully integrated multidisciplinary security and facilities management company is recruiting a Debt Collection Officer. The Debt Collection Officer will be responsible for leading debt collection processes in the company.

Main Responsibilities

Duties and essential functions but not limited to;

• Employing effective strategies to recover outstanding debts.
• Communicating with clients to discuss repayment plans and negotiating settlements.
• Communicating with clients to understand their financial situations, providing guidance and solutions to resolve outstanding debts.
• Using strong negotiation skills to reach favourable agreements with clients, balancing the interests of both parties.
• Maintaining accurate and updating records of all communication and transactions related to debt collection.

The Ideal Candidate

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required.

• Must possess the Malawi School Certificate of Education.
• Minimum of a Diploma in Accounting or its equivalent.

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required.

• Must possess: A minimum of Five years of prior experience on active duty in a busy and reputable company in a similar role.

Skills Required.

• Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with clients.
• Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately.
• Negotiation skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Computer skills is a MUST.

Other requirements.

• Must be not less than 30 years.
• Must be in possession of valid Drivers’ license issued by the Malawi government.
• Must be in possession of a National ID issued by the Malawi government.
