Job Summary
As a Debt Collectors, you will support our collections team by assisting in customer outreach, payment collection, and developing effective communication strategies to ensure timely repayment of microloans. This role provides valuable experience in customer relations and debt management.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in negotiating repayment plans with clients
- Maintain records of collection activities and client interactions
- Support in identifying repayment challenges and escalation needs
- Help prepare collection reports and status updates
- Provide excellent customer service during interactions
- Address member enquiries regarding loan status and repayment schedules
- Contact clients to remind them of upcoming or overdue payments
- Address client concerns and escalate complex issues to senior staff
- Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor at all times
- Keep records of client interactions and feedback
- Meet monthly/weekly/daily recovery targets
Qualifications and Experience
- Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) with Credits in Maths and English
- Certificate or Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, Accounting or any related field.
- 20-30 years old
- Experience working in a finance setting will be an added advantage
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and smartphones
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
