DENTISTS (2)
Responsibilities or duties
- Diagnose and treat oral diseases, injuries, and abnormalities
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients, including preventative care and restorative procedures
- Communicate effectively with patients to ensure they understand their treatment options and feel comfortable with the care they receive
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in dental technology and techniques
- Perform dental exams and provide treatment plans for patients
- Administer local anaesthesia and perform dental procedures such as fillings, extractions (including surgical extractions), and root canal therapy.
- Dental prosthetics, such as bridges, crowns and dentures
- Teeth-whitening treatments
- Orthodontic treatment and other complex procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with all dental regulations and standards
- Continuously educate oneself on new dental techniques and technologies
Qualifications or requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Surgery (BDS) or DDS or DMD or equivalent from recognised institutions of higher learning
- Valid practicing license from medical council of Malawi.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and able to work as a team
- Commitment to patient comfort and quality care
- Must be a self -starter, mature and able to cope with pressure of work
- Must have excellent communication skills
