As a Digital Marketing Officer, you will manage online presence, create engaging content, and drive strategic campaigns to enhance brand visibility.
Responsibilities
Social Media Strategy: Develop, implement, and manage our social media strategy to enhance brand presence and engagement with the Malawian audience.
Paid Campaigns: Plan, execute, and manage paid campaigns across various channels including Google Ads, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms.
Content Creation & Curation: Design and curate a localized social media content calendar for Facebook and Instagram, ensuring daily posts that resonate with the local audience.
Performance Analysis: Analyse and report on social media performance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Marketing Team to align social media initiatives with broader campaigns, promotions, and brand messaging.
Trend Monitoring: Stay informed about industry trends and emerging social media platforms to keep our strategies current and effective.
Competitive Analysis: Monitor competitors on social media, identifying trends, insights, and opportunities for strategic improvement.
Influencer & Collaboration Sourcing: Identify and engage local influencers and websites for potential collaborations to amplify our brand’s reach.
Requirements
- Proven experience of at least 1 year as a Digital Marketing Officer or in a similar role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience with digital media advertising and analytics tools.
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
- Ability to handle multiple assignments and meet established deadlines with high attention to detail.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
