The Role

The Driver will be responsible for safely operating company vehicles to transport staff, goods, and equipment to designated destinations while ensuring compliance with road safety regulations and maintaining company vehicles in good condition.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely drive company vehicles to transport staff, clients, goods, and materials.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any defects or maintenance requirements.
• Ensure vehicles are clean, roadworthy, and properly maintained.
• Maintain accurate records of trips, fuel consumption, mileage, and vehicle maintenance.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and road safety regulations.
• Assist with loading and unloading goods when required.
• Ensure the safety and security of passengers, goods, and company property.
• Plan routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries and arrivals.
• Report accidents, incidents, or vehicle breakdowns promptly.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE).
• Valid Malawi Driver’s Licence (preferably Class C).
• Clean driving record with no serious traffic offences.
• Minimum of 2–5 years’ proven driving experience.
• Good knowledge of Malawi road networks and traffic regulations.
• Basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
