Background

Zomba Diocese Health Commission operates under the Social Directorate of the Catholic Diocese of Zomba. Its mission is to advance the healing ministry of Jesus Christ by promoting human life and providing preventive, curative, and rehabilitative services in a holistic manner. This is achieved through participation in collaborative networks and partnerships, aligned with the needs and capacities of the communities, and in accordance with Catholic core values and principles, to ensure the delivery of the high- quality services, the Commission is seeking to recruit motivated and experienced individuals for the following vacant positions at one of its health facilities St. Robert Health Centre (Sitima).

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for driving of organization vehicles as authorized by the authorizing office
• Responsible for ensuring that the facility vehicles are road worth (has updated COF, Insurance)
• Responsible for recording vehicle mileage, destination and purpose of trip, time, service, oiling and fueling history in the vehicle log book.
• Ensure that vehicles are well packed by 17:00 hrs and reporting or ensuring reporting of any after 17:00 hrs activity to relevant authorities
• Clean organization vehicles and ensure ever clean status of the vehicle
• Report any accidents concerning organization vehicle to relevant authorities
• Ensure that all traffic rules and regulations are adhered to
• Perform messenger duties and other duties assigned by management from time to time.

Qualifications

• Malawi School Certificate of Education Certificate (MSCE)
• Clean, class driving license with three-year progressive experience plus defensive driving certificate

• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Effective communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Sober mind
