Healthwise is a non- profit organization registered with Government of Malawi and NGO Regulatory Authority (NGORA). Healthwise uses an Integrated Programmatic Approach to deliver multisectoral services that address poverty’s interconnected root causes, including education, healthy, Agriculture and Climate Change, Gender and inclusion, economic empowerment, ECD, child safeguarding, gender and inclusion, youth governance and general livelihood targeting girls, young women, children, youths and other vulnerable populations .
Healthwise is going through a five-year institutional capacity strengthening process under the Civil Society Strengthening Fund (CSSF) with financial support from a consortium of partners (Tilitonse Foundation, Comic Relief and UK International Development).
Responsibilities or duties
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and records
- Support with data entry and management of financial transactions
- Help maintain accurate and up-to-date financial ledgers
- Assist in bank reconciliations and accounts analysis
- Provide support during internal and external audits
- Oversee day-to-day administrative operations including office supplies, logistics, and assets
- Perform any other finance-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum of a Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field from a recognized institution (Those with degree will have an added advantage)
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Computer literacy, especially proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to learn and a strong sense of integrity
- Should be a member of Malawi Accountants Board
- Age range; between 25 to 40
Experience needed
- At least 2 years’ experience in Finance and Administration, organization setting, record keeping, payroll support, donor compliance, budget, reporting, expense tracking, and statutory compliance.
