Mthunzi Funeral Services is seeking to recruit two Fleet and Facilities Administrators, based in Blantyre and Lilongwe, on a six-month fixed-term contract.
The successful candidates will be responsible for the effective administration, coordination, and maintenance of the company’s fleet and facilities. The positions will report directly to the Financial Accountant, with a dotted-line reporting to the Operations and Business Development.
Fleet Management:
- Management of Mthunzi hearses and other outsourced or leased vehicles.
- Planning and coordination of preventive maintenance and routine servicing.
- Management of vehicle breakdowns and repair processes.
- Monitoring vehicle readiness, physical condition, and compliance documentation.
- Fuel management, monitoring, and reconciliation.
- Ensuring all vehicle insurance, licensing, and permits are valid and up to date.
- Enforcing driver adherence to company fleet policies and procedures.
- Tracking fleet related costs and preparing relevant reports.
- Ensure compliance with road safety and legal requirements
- Investigate accidents and Insurance claims
- Optimize vehicle usage to reduce costs and improve efficiency
Facility and Equipment Management:
- Day-to-day oversight of cold rooms, chapels, and other operational areas.
- Coordination of preventive and corrective maintenance for refrigeration systems and related equipment.
- Management and coordination of vendors and contractors, including cleaning, security, and repair services.
- Monitoring hygiene, safety, and operational standards across all facilities.
- Monitoring and reporting on the condition of facilities and operational assets.
- Ensuring compliance with safety, health, and basic regulatory requirements.
