Background information about the job or company

The General Foreman will be responsible for coordinating, supervising, and ensuring the effective execution of infrastructure-related activities within the scope of the MoRe Project. The role requires a strong commitment to meeting project timelines, quality standards, and safety and sustainability objectives. Working closely with the Operations Manager and field teams, the General Foreman will manage human resources, equipment, and materials to ensure that all operations are carried out in accordance with the established technical and operational plans.

Responsibilities or duties

  • Organize, plan, and control diverse activities including earthworks, civil construction, and infrastructure support for forestry operations, in accordance with approved designs and schedules;
  • Supervise and guide operators and field teams, ensuring high performance and adherence to assigned tasks;
  • Ensure accurate interpretation and implementation of technical drawings, topographic maps, and project specifications;
  • Manage the efficient use and maintenance (preventive and corrective) of earthmoving equipment;
  • Monitor compliance with occupational safety and environmental protection standards;
  • Identify and report any anomalies, deviations, or unforeseen events, proposing appropriate technical solutions;
  • Support the Operations Manager in preparing measurements, progress reports, and productivity controls;
  • Promote a collaborative, safe, and results-driven work environment that upholds discipline and operational excellence;
  • Ensure timely completion of assigned works and optimize methods and processes as necessary;

Qualifications or requirements

  • Secondary education or technical/vocational training in civil construction, surveying, or a related field;
  • Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in earthworks, preferably within road or agricultural infrastructure projects;
  • Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings;
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written);
  • Proven leadership and team management skills;
  • Excellent planning, organization, and problem-solving abilities;
  • Strong sense of responsibility, accuracy, and attention to detail;
  • Results-oriented mindset with the ability to meet deadlines and performance targets;
  • Mobility availability.
