Position Overview

IT Centre Ltd is seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Head of Department – AC & Engineering Division to lead, restructure, and grow our Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, Power Systems, and Solar Engineering operations. This is a senior leadership role responsible for operational excellence, revenue growth, team management, and strict reporting discipline. The successful candidate will be expected to turn around performance, expand business lines, and ensure professional execution of contracts and projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operations & Technical Oversight

    Lead and supervise all AC, refrigeration, electrical, generator, and solar installations and maintenance works.

    Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required technical standards.

    Implement preventive maintenance schedules and quality control procedures.

    Oversee job cards, service reports, and client sign-offs.

  • Revenue Generation & Business Growth

    Drive new revenue streams including:

    • Solar installations
    • Electrical works
    • Generator servicing and maintenance
    • Commercial AC contracts

    Support prequalification processes, tender submissions, and contract bids.

    Work with management to price jobs competitively and profitably.

  • Team Leadership & Discipline

    Manage technicians, drivers, and field teams.

    Assign work, monitor performance, and enforce accountability.

    Ensure technicians submit daily and weekly job reports.

    Identify training needs and skill gaps within the team.

  • Reporting & Controls

    Submit structured weekly and monthly reports covering: Jobs completed

    • Revenue generated
    • Outstanding works
    • Challenges and corrective actions

    Maintain accurate records of tools, equipment, fuel usage, and materials.

    Coordinate with Accounts on invoicing, job costing, and collections.

Compliance & Administration

Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.

Support documentation requirements including tax compliance, certifications, and statutory obligations.

Represent the division professionally with clients, suppliers, and partners.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Renewable Energy, or related field.
  • 5+ years experience in AC, refrigeration, power systems, or solar engineering.
  • Proven leadership experience managing technical teams.
  • Strong understanding of commercial contracts and service-based businesses.
  • Valid driver’s license (mandatory).
