Role Context

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Human Resource Manager to join our team in Malawi. This role is crucial for ensuring the effective and efficient management of our human capital, supporting our conservation mission.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall organisational goals.
  • Oversee recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes.
  • Manage employee relations, performance management, and disciplinary procedures.
  • Administer compensation and benefits programs.
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws and regulations.
  • Provide guidance and support to management and staff on HR-related matters.
  • Develop and deliver HR training programs.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources management.
  • Proven experience in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compensation & benefits.
  • Strong knowledge of Malawian labour laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and MS Office Suite.
  • Experience working in the non-profit or conservation sector is an advantage.
