Background

Agriculture Development and Marketing Corporation is a liability public company involved in Agriculture production, marketing, agro processing and distribution of farm inputs. The Company is involved in processing and marketing of rice, pigeon peas, beans, maize, cotton, sesame and fertilizers business.

The Company intends to fill the following vacant position:

Human Resources and Administration Manager (Grade AL3)

The individual will directly report to Director of Corporate Services.

Purpose

In liaison with the Director of Corporate Services, the individual is expected to:

Responsibilities

  • Develop and recommend to management, human resources policies and practices which meet the objectives of the Company and ensure effective application of the policies and procedures
  • Planning, formulating, implementing and evaluating HR and administration policies and procedures
  • Participating in development and review of human resource and administrative policies and procedures
  • Interpreting human resource and administrative policies, Terms and Conditions of Service and related regulations
  • Managing the employment cycle
  • Developing and implementing staff orientation and induction programmes
  • Maintaining Management Information System and HR database
  • Designing and implementing performance management system i.
  • Providing counselling services to members of staff
  • Controlling the staff establishment ensuring the recruitment, deployment and portion are based on authorized establishment
  • Providing secretarial service to the Board committee as delegated
  • Preparing periodic reports

Qualifications and Experience

  • Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management/Human Resources Development/ Public Administration/Business Administration and Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management / Development/Public Administration/ Business Administration
  • Plus Five (5) years’ work experience at managerial level
