As a Resource Mobilisation Officer, you will play a key role in supporting our efforts to secure funding and build partnerships that sustain and grow our organisation’s impact. This is an excellent opportunity to develop practical skills in proposal writing, donor engagement, and strategic communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in identifying funding opportunities from donors, partners, and grant-making institutions
- Support proposal writing, concept notes, and fundraising campaigns
- Help build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and partners
- Contribute to developing resource mobilisation strategies
- Assist with research and documentation related to funding opportunities
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, International Development, Public Health, Communications, Public Policy.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and oral communication skills are essential for drafting proposals and engaging with stakeholders.
- Technical Proficiency: Fluency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint) and familiarity with tools like social media platforms.
- Personal Attributes: Attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, and a strong commitment to the organization’s mission (e.g., gender equality or human rights).
- Core Competencies: Strong interest in fundraising, development work, or nonprofit management
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proactive, creative, and results-oriented mindset
- Relevant academic background (or currently studying) is an added advantage
