The Catholic University of Malawi invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the following full-time positions tenable at Montfort campus, Nguludi -Chiradzulu and St. Thomas Moore campus in Lilongwe.
Responsibilities or duties
- Participate in the preparation of the clinical map and interpretation of the clinical map to students
- Orient students to the skills laboratory and all the activities that take place in the skills laboratory
- Attend all mandatory orientations and trainings as directed by the Head of clinical and the Dean of the Faculty to remain current in the areas of of best practice techniques or evidence-based practice in nursing care
- Schedule and participate in pre and post conference meetings with Clinical Coordinators in places where students are scheduled to go or from places where students have finished the clinical placement and submit a written report of the conferences.
- Participate in the scouting of clinical places and signing of Memorandum of Understanding between hospitals and Catholic University
- Participate in the review and the reinforcement of clinical policy and be a role model to student
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
Master or Doctor of Law from an accredited institution
Experience needed
Applicants must have
A minimum of two years of lecturing experience in a recognized institution of higher learning
Knowledge of online lecturing and learning applications
- Interpret the mission, vision and the philosophy of the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery as they relate to dinical teaching and learning
- Participate in the preparation of the clinical map and interpretation of the clinical map to students
- Orient students to the skills laboratory and all the activities that take place in the skills laboratory
- Attend all mandatory orientations and trainings as directed by the Head of clinical and the Dean of the Faculty to remain current in the areas of of best practice techniques or evidence-based practice in nursing care
