Background
Serendib Hotels & Resorts is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced and guest-focused Lodge / Camp Manager to lead the operations of one of our nature-based hospitality properties. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of lodge operations while ensuring excellent customer service, operational efficiency, staff leadership and sustainable tourism practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the lodge/camp.
- Coordinate accommodation, restaurant and housekeeping operations.
- Supervise safari drives, guided walks and mountain hiking activities.
- Ensure guest safety and compliance with health and safety procedures.
- Monitor maintenance of buildings, vehicles, equipment and camp facilities.
- Drive occupancy, guest satisfaction and revenue growth.
Minimum Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism Management, Wildlife Management or a related field.
- Valid driver’s licence.
Experience Required
- Minimum 5 years’ experience managing a safari lodge, camp, eco-lodge or mountain resort.
- Knowledge of Malawi’s wildlife, birdlife and ecosystems
- Experience working with international guests and tour operators.
