Background

Serendib Hotels & Resorts is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced and guest-focused Lodge / Camp Manager to lead the operations of one of our nature-based hospitality properties. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of lodge operations while ensuring excellent customer service, operational efficiency, staff leadership and sustainable tourism practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the lodge/camp.
  • Coordinate accommodation, restaurant and housekeeping operations.
  • Supervise safari drives, guided walks and mountain hiking activities.
  • Ensure guest safety and compliance with health and safety procedures.
  • Monitor maintenance of buildings, vehicles, equipment and camp facilities.
  • Drive occupancy, guest satisfaction and revenue growth.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism Management, Wildlife Management or a related field.
  • Valid driver’s licence.

Experience Required

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience managing a safari lodge, camp, eco-lodge or mountain resort.
  • Knowledge of Malawi’s wildlife, birdlife and ecosystems
  • Experience working with international guests and tour operators.
