Overview

Feliz Guest House, located in Area 43, Lilongwe, is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals for the position of Lodge Manager.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall day-to-day management of the guest house, including:

• Managing guest services, reservations, and front office operations.
• Responsible for housekeeping and ensuring high standards of cleanliness throughout the property.
• Preparing and serving quality meals, particularly breakfast and other guest meals.
• Managing cash, stock, and operational records.
• Overseeing property maintenance and ensuring excellent guest satisfaction.
• Marketing the guest house to increase occupancy through social media, corporate visits, travel agents, and other promotional activities.
• Developing and maintaining relationships with corporate clients, organizations, and travel partners to generate business.
• Responding promptly to enquiries and following up with potential clients to secure bookings.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of a Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE).
• Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Catering or Tourism.
• At least 3 years’ relevant experience in a lodge, hotel, guest house, or similar hospitality establishment.
• Demonstrated experience in meal preparation and excellent customer service.
• Proven ability to market hospitality services and attract customers.
