Background

Simbeko Investments is one of the dynamic, leading and fast growing company in hospitality, Trading, Food and beverages, and Transportation with its subsidiaries located within Chikwawa and Nsanje Districts with its head Office at Nchalo, is inviting applications from suitably qualified, organized, detail-oriented and experienced Malawians to fill post of a Lodge Receptionist.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage front desk operations including check-ins, check-outs and bookings.
  • Handle guest queries and requests promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain accurate records and lodge systems such as guest profiles and payments.
  • Process payments, handle cash, and manage petty cash.
  • Coordinate with other departments (housekeeping, kitchen, etc.) for seamless service.
  • Provide information about lodge facilities, local attractions, and services.
  • Handle guest complaints, providing feedback and escalating issues when needed.
  • Ensure high standards of customer service and lodge presentation.
  • Assist with event planning and coordination (meetings, weddings, etc.).
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive guest information securely.

Qualification and Experience

  • Certificate in Hospitality Management or related field from a recognized institution.
  • Must be fluent in English and other languages.
  • Minimum of two (2) years proven experience working as a Lodge Receptionist.
