MINING INDUSTRY – ASX LISTED COMPANY

We are commencing the recruitment of key roles in our organisational structure and are seeking Mining Engineers, Ore Spotters, Mine Surveyors, and Surveyor Assistants to join our growing on-site team.

The Company Lindian Resources is an Australian company listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX:LIN) with world-class rare earths and bauxite assets in Malawi and Guinea. The Kangankunde Rare Earths Project in Malawi is the cornerstone of Lindian’s asset portfolio and ranks amongst some of the best underdeveloped rare earth assets in the world. Our assets will provide critical minerals to fuel the technologies of tomorrow, driving innovation and supporting the world’s energy transition.

Through the development of the Kangankunde Project, Lindian is set to become a globally significant rare earths producer.

MINING ENGINEER

Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer, you will be responsible for:
• Providing leadership to demonstrate Lindian’s commitment to health and safety and promoting safety awareness and proactively managing risks
• Developing and communicating integrated Weekly Mine Plans and production schedules
• Defining scope of works for mining operations including development and services
• Creating Daily/Shift Plans to optimise resource use and achieve production targets
• Coordinating daily and weekly production planning meetings
• Providing 24-hour mining reconciliation and input to monthly planning
• Liaising with milling, maintenance, services, geotechnical and resource teams
• Operating mine planning systems including short- and medium-term planning tools
• Designing pit, dump, drill and blast layouts and ore control polygons
• Signing off on ore routing and dig shape designs
• Supporting budget preparation and cost control within delegated authority
• Promoting adherence to internal policies, procedures and quality standards
• Mentoring staff and monitoring performance of direct reports
• Ensuring structured and timely execution of mine plans

To succeed in this role, you will possess the following:
• Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering or related field
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in mining engineering
• Advanced user of Microsoft Office tools and experience with mine planning software (Surpac, Minesched, Minesight, Micromine)
• Excellent organisational and analytical skills
• Experience working in multicultural environments
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Strategic thinking and practical problem-solving ability
• Ability to adapt to changing work environments
• A valid driver’s license is desirable
