• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling cracks, and applying primers or undercoats.
• Apply paint, varnish, stain, and other finishes to interior and exterior surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
• Select and mix paint colours to match desired specifications.
• Cover fixtures, furniture, and floors with drop cloths to protect from spills and splatters.
• Inspect finished work for uniformity, coverage, and quality.
• Maintain painting equipment and clean tools after each use.
• Estimate material quantities and report requirements to supervisors.
