The Role

The Parts Sales Consultant will be responsible for prospecting for customers, planning and managing the parts sales cycle, and performing related sales administration to achieve business targets while delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop monthly parts sales prospects and maintain a strong sales pipeline.
  • Track, monitor, and report pipeline performance to the Parts Manager on a weekly basis.
  • Prepare and follow up on parts sales quotations and maintain records of lost sales.
  • Negotiate and close sales in line with established company procedures.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of CFAO genuine parts and accessories.
  • Ensure compliance with parts sales Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Prepare weekly customer visit schedules and submit visit reports within two days.
  • Execute 90-day tactical and action plans and report performance against targets.
  • Review individual sales plans monthly to ensure alignment with budgets and targets.
  • Handle and resolve customer complaints in accordance with company policies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum Diploma in any Business-related discipline.
  • Qualification from the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in commercial sales.
  • Product knowledge in the automotive industry is an added advantage.
  • Proven sales and marketing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of regulations governing the parts sales process.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
