The Company invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the following positions:

Production Supervisor

Duty Station: Nyungwe, Karonga

The Production Supervisor will oversee day-to-day operations at the Company’s rice processing factory, ensuring efficient production, product quality, proper use of resources and achievement of production targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise rice milling, grading, packaging and related production activities.
• Prepare and implement production schedules to achieve agreed targets.
• Supervise production workers, allocate duties and monitor their performance.
• Ensure efficient use of raw materials, packaging materials, machinery and other resources.
• Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with established food-safety and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate records of production, stock, wastage and equipment performance.
• Coordinate the receipt, storage and issuance of paddy rice and finished products.
• Enforce workplace  health, safety, hygiene and sanitation requirements.
• Ensure proper cleaning and routine maintenance of production machinery.
• Identify production challenges and coordinate timely corrective action.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly and monthly production reports.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications and Experience

• A degree or diploma in Food Science and Technology, Agricultural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• At least five years of relevant production or factory-supervision experience, preferably in rice milling, food processing or agro-processing.
• Practical knowledge of production planning, quality control, stock management and machinery operations.
• Strong leadership, team-management and problem-solving skills.
• Good record-keeping and report-writing abilities.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet production targets.
• High level of integrity, discipline and attention to detail.
