Job Description

The Project Officer will support project implementation, coordination, documentation, and reporting, including:

  • Support day-to-day programme activities to ensure timely achievement of project objectives.
  • Coordinate innovation activities such as bootcamps, accelerators, youth initiatives, pitch events, trainings, mentorship sessions, and stakeholder meetings.
  • Mobilise youth for digital skills and entrepreneurship initiatives and provide follow-up support, including mentorship and grant or equipment tracking.
  • Assist in developing training materials, programme documentation, attendance records, distribution records, and reimbursement forms.
  • Coordinate with innovation hubs, technical specialists, alumni, civil society organisations, training institutions, district youth offices, and other stakeholders.
  • Monitor participant progress, collect and clean M&E data, support reporting visualisations, and document success stories and innovations.
  • Support donor proposal development by preparing concepts, compliant budgets, and documentation with programme, technical, and finance teams.
  • Draft project reports, updates, and other project documents, and perform any other duties assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Project Management, Marketing, Development Studies, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 2 to 5 years of experience in project coordination or project support.
  • Experience in community mobilisation, social and behaviour change activities, stakeholder coordination, monitoring, data collection, and reporting.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, interpersonal, organisational, and documentation skills.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
