Point of Progress, through the Solidarity Exchange for Environment and Development (SEED), is inviting Malawian volunteers and professionals to apply for a transformative 12-month fellowship that promotes cross-cultural collaboration and climate justice action between Malawi and Norway.

About SEED

SEED is a bi-national climate justice exchange programme that connects Malawian and Norwegian youth and professionals through immersive learning, cross-cultural collaboration, and community-driven climate action.

Participants will tackle the root causes of climate change through the lens of climate justice, gender equality, youth empowerment, food sovereignty, and sustainable development.

What we are looking for

SEED Professional Participant (1)

Designed for professionals with practical experience who wish to lead strategic interventions and mentor the next generation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement impactful climate justice and food sovereignty programs, e.g. agroecology, forest restoration,
  • Provide strategic technical input to NGOs, youth networks, and policy platforms.
  • Facilitate capacity-building workshops and intergenerational learning exchanges.
  • Contribute to advocacy campaigns, policy analysis, and thought leadership on climate and food justice.
  • Collaborate with Malawian and Norwegian institutions to strengthen local food systems and climate resilience.
  • Mentor youth leaders and foster innovation in sustainable agriculture and environmental stewardship.
  • Initiate organizational capacity strengthening on food sovereignty and climate justice.

Eligibility

  • Aged 22 to 35
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Climate Change, Environmental Science, Agriculture, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in climate action, food systems, or policy work
  • Deep understanding of climate justice, food sovereignty, gender equity, and resilience building
  • Must hold a valid passport and be available for the 12-month professional exchange
