Sales Assistant

Malawi Milk Producers Association (MMPA)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Handle day-to-day sales and ensure receipts are issued.
  • Prepare accurate and timely weekly and monthly sales reports.
  • Prepare weekly sales reports for presentation during planning meetings.
  • Record sales in a specific receipt book every week.
  • Reconcile bank deposits at the end of every week.
  • Ensure that all supporting documentation is properly filed.
  • Ensure salving is done on a daily basis and avoid keeping cash in the office or taking it home.
  • Ensure that all field expenditure is supported by management-approved documentation.
  • Keep debtor stocks and follow up on all overdue accounts.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Certificate in Sales and Marketing.

Diploma will be added advantage.

EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of three years experience in Sales and financial management.
  • Familiarity with specialized accounting practices, budget monitoring, reporting requirements and procedures.
  • Practical knowledge in managing Funds.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Proficiency in clearly communicating finance and accounting information.
  • Accuracy in maintaining recordal records and ensuring financial reports.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to succeed in time management.
  • High level of focus, attention to detail, and accuracy.
  • Proven track record of trustworthiness, reliability, and adherence to rules and systems.
  • Computer skills, including spreadsheets, databases, and email systems.
  • Ability to work under pressure and follow procedures.
