Senior Lecturer / Lecturer in Mathematics & Statistics
Job Summary:
The Senior Lecturer/Lecturer will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, conducting research, and contributing to curriculum development in Mathematics & Statistics. The role includes mentoring students, supervising research projects, and participating in departmental and institutional activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in Mathematics & Statistics.
- Design, update, and review course curricula and teaching materials.
- Conduct and publish research in relevant fields.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student projects and theses.
- Participate in departmental meetings, academic committees, and accreditation processes.
- Provide academic advising and mentorship to students.
- Engage in community outreach and professional development activities.
Qualifications & Experience:
- For Senior Lecturer: PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related field with at least 5 years of teaching and research experience at the university level.
- For Lecturer: PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, or related field (or Master’s with significant progress toward PhD).
- Strong record of research publications (for Senior Lecturer).
- Experience in curriculum development and use of educational technology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Work Hours: 8
Experience in Months: 60
Level of Education: postgraduate degree
