Lumina Creative Labs is an international digital creative agency that produces and sells artistic, editorial content, and digital media for clients in the United States and Europe.

We are launching a creative photography project in Mzuzu and we need someone to bring it to life on social media.

The Role

You’ll be our Mzuzu-based social media coordinator — the person who turns our creative photography work into engaging digital content that reaches audiences worldwide. You’ll work alongside our international team and be the voice and visual storyteller behind our social channels.

Responsibilities or duties

  • Create short-form video content — film, edit, and post YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels/Stories, and TikTok videos that document our photo shoots, behind-the-scenes moments, and the creative process
  • Manage and grow our social media presence — plan and schedule posts across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube with consistent branding and tone
  • Capture behind-the-scenes content on shoot days — candid moments, creative process clips, artist spotlights, and location showcases
  • Write engaging captions and copy that connect with both local and international audiences
  • Track performance and engagement — monitor what’s working and suggest content ideas based on trends and analytics
  • Stay current with social media trends — know what’s trending on TikTok and Reels, and adapt ideas to fit our creative brand
  • Communicate regularly with our local coordinator and the international team via email and WhatsApp

Qualifications or requirements

Required:

  • Digitally native content creator — you grew up with social media, you think in Stories and Reels, and creating content feels natural to you, not like a chore. Whether you’re a student, a graduate, a freelancer, or a stay-at-home parent with a fire TikTok page — we care about what you can do, not your CV
  • Active on social media — you understand how Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube work, not just as a user but as a creator. You know what makes people stop scrolling
  • Video and visual skills — you can shoot and edit short-form video content on a smartphone. You have an eye for what looks good on screen
  • Strong English communication skills — written and spoken. You can write captions that are sharp, engaging, and error-free
  • Reliable and organized — you meet deadlines, respond to messages, and follow through on commitments
  • Based in Mzuzu and available for shoot days and content creation on a flexible, part-time schedule

Bonus (not required but impressive):

  • Your own TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube channel with original content and a growing following — even a small one
  • Experience with video editing tools (CapCut, InShot, Premiere Rush, or similar)
  • Knowledge of Canva, Lightroom, or other design/photo editing tools
  • A portfolio or content samples that show your creative style
  • Connections within Mzuzu’s creative, student, or artistic community

Any other provided details

What We Offer

  • Flexible part-time work that fits around your studies or other commitments
  • Competitive pay with bonuses tied to content performance and project milestones
  • Skill development — exposure to international creative standards, content strategy, and digital marketing
  • Growth potential — this role can expand significantly as the project scales
