Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Supermarket Data Analyst to help drive business decisions through data insights. The successful candidate will analyse sales trends, inventory movement, customer behaviour, and operational performance to improve profitability and efficiency across supermarket operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse daily, weekly, and monthly sales data
• Monitor inventory levels and identify stock shortages or overstocking
• Prepare reports and dashboards for management
• Track product performance and pricing trends
• Support forecasting and demand planning
• Identify customer purchasing patterns and shopping behaviour
• Work with procurement and finance teams to optimize stock management
• Develop KPIs for store performance and operational efficiency
• Ensure data accuracy and maintain reporting databases
• Present actionable insights to management

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Economics, IT, or related field
• Experience in retail or supermarket analytics is an advantage
• Strong skills in:
  • Microsoft Office
  • Power BI / Tableau
  • SQL
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and reporting skills
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with POS (Point of Sale) systems
• Knowledge of inventory management systems
• Understanding of retail KPIs and customer analytics
