Reporting to the Mine Surveyor, you will be responsible for:
• Providing leadership to demonstrate Lindian’s commitment to health and safety and promoting safety awareness and proactively managing risks
• Assisting with volume surveys of open pits, tailings, and general works
• Supporting installation and understanding of survey stations
• Participating in exploration surveys and grade control markups
• Setting out and picking up drill holes and access road alignments
• Operating laser stations and cavity monitor systems (CMS)
• Conducting check traverses and end-of-month stockpile surveys
• Learning to operate all surveying equipment
• Performing pickups of services and miscellaneous items
• Maintaining survey equipment and vehicles
• Keeping the survey shed clean and organized
• Adhering to internal policies, procedures, and quality standards

To succeed in this role, you will possess the following:
• A High School Diploma or currently studying for a Survey Degree or Diploma
• Experience in open cut surveying is an advantage
• Physically fit and numerically literate
• A valid driver’s license
• Basic understanding of mine grid systems
• Ability to work unsupervised and use initiative
• Experience in multicultural environments
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Adaptability and problem-solving ability
