About the Employer / Role
JayCuf Amazing Designs is a fashion and tailoring establishment based in Lilongwe focused on high-quality garment construction. The employer is seeking a qualified and versatile Tailor with proven shop experience to create a wide variety of clothing items. Additionally, the role involves instructing and teaching students in tailoring skills.
Key Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of shop tailoring experience.
- Teaching Ability: Practical experience in teaching and training students in tailoring.
- Demonstrated Sewing Expertise: Proven proficiency in designing and sewing:
- Men's and Ladies' suits
- National wears and Chitenje dresses
- Office wears, work suits, and Bomba jackets
- Bags
- School uniforms, Nurses uniforms, Scrub suits, and Mvano uniforms
Key Responsibilities
- Construct, cut, stitch, and finish diverse garments according to customer specifications and quality standards.
- Provide practical instruction, demonstrations, and guidance to tailoring students.
- Maintain workshop machinery, sewing tools, and work environments cleanly and safely.
Work Hours: 8
Experience in Months: 12
Level of Education: bachelor degree
