OVERVIEW

The Smallholder Farmers' Fertilizer Revolving Fund (SFFRFM) is inviting applications from suitably qualified, experienced, and motivated Malawians to fill the position of Temporary Sales Clerk for the 2026/2027 agricultural season.

POSITION: TEMPORARY SALES CLERK

Department: Commercial Services

Grade: F8 (Temporary)

Reporting To: Regional Business Officer / Temporary Compliance Officer

Closing Date: 14th August 2026

JOB PURPOSE

To sell fertilizer and non-fertilizer products while ensuring accurate stock management, proper record keeping, and excellent customer service at the assigned depot.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sell fertilizer, certified seeds, and other agricultural products.
  • Record sales transactions accurately and issue receipts.
  • Receive, store, and manage stock according to standard procedures.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of assigned satellite depots.
  • Maintain accurate stock records.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and periodic sales and stock reports.
  • Organize and file sales documentation.
  • Assist customers with product information and handling.
  • Deliver excellent customer service.
  • Supervise Security Guards and Porters and prepare duty rosters.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Professional Diploma in Business Administration, Business Management, Marketing, Agribusiness Management, Agriculture, or a related field.
  • Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) with at least a pass in English and Mathematics.
  • Minimum of three (3) years' work experience in a busy organization.
  • Experience in a similar position will be an added advantage.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Applicants must be between 25 and 50 years of age.
  • No criminal record.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
