The Malawi School of Government (MSG) is a unique higher education Statutory Corporation established under the Act of Parliament No. 33 of 2022. Our core mission is to shape Malawi’s present and future by developing and delivering human resource development programmes and enhancing the capacity of the public and private sectors through education and training, research, consultancy, and advisory services.
MSG invites suitably qualified, motivated, and agile candidates to fill the following vacant positions tenable at its Secretariat, Mpemba Campus (formerly known as Staff Development Institute (SDI) and Kanengo Campus (formerly Malawi Institute of Management):
Job Summary:
To provide academic support services for effective academic programme delivery.
Responsibilities or duties
- Support monitoring of academic programmes.
- Distribute academic materials to trainers.
- Process academic staff claims.
- Address student academic concerns.
- Process transcripts and certificates.
- Respond to academic-related queries.
- Prepare class schedules and issue certificates.
- Serve relevant committees.
- Maintain academic records in line with policy.
- Keep updated databases of students and staff.
- Prepare and submit relevant reports.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
- Master’s Degree in Education or related field accredited by the National Council of Higher Education (NCHE)
- Advanced experience with student management information systems.
Experience needed
- Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience of providing student support at a higher Education Institution/ or its equivalent
