OVERVIEW

ETG Agri Inputs Ltd Malawi, a leading supplier of quality agricultural solutions including fertilisers, seeds, crop protection products, farm tools and expert agronomy services, is looking for a suitably qualified, motivated and results-driven Accountant to join its team in Blantyre.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation.
• Process and verify invoices, receipts, payments and other financial transactions.
• Perform bank, supplier and customer reconciliations.
• Prepare financial reports and support monthly and annual financial closing processes.
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable.
• Assist with budgeting, cash-flow monitoring and financial analysis.
• Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
• Work closely with procurement, logistics, warehouse and sales teams to ensure accurate financial records.
• Perform any other accounting duties assigned by management.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years’ relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Good computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• High level of accuracy, integrity and attention to detail.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Experience in the agricultural, trading, manufacturing or FMCG sector will be an added advantage.
