AREAS OF SPECIALISATION
We are seeking lecturers in the following areas:
Accounting Lecturer
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality lectures in financial accounting, managerial accounting, auditing, taxation, and accounting information systems.
- Facilitate student learning through practical exercises, real-world financial statement analysis, and accounting software training.
- Develop and update course materials to align with international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and local regulatory requirements.
- Conduct research in areas such as audit quality, tax compliance, corporate governance, and accounting ethics.
- Participate in community engagement by supporting small businesses with accounting best practices and offering tax education workshops.
- Mentor and support students in preparing for professional accounting certifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) and ethical practice.
- Participate in academic and administrative activities, including examination moderation and curriculum alignment with professional bodies.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Master's degree in a relevant field (PhD is an added advantage).
- Relevant teaching and/or industry experience.
- Strong commitment to academic excellence, student development and research.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic university environment.
