JOB DETAILS:

OVERVIEW

Lotus Africa Limited seeks a qualified and motivated Acid Plant Assistant Electrician to support artisans in maintenance, repair, and installation tasks. The role involves preparing tools, maintaining a safe work environment, assisting during breakdowns and shutdowns, and ensuring efficient workflow to promote productivity and safety.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

• MSCE Certificate or equivalent (Higher Education an advantage)
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a fixed/acid plant

DUTIES:

• Achieve zero safety incidents with strict adherence to PPE and safety protocols
• Maintain housekeeping standards in workshops and work areas
• Ensure tools and materials are available before tasks begin
• Return and store tools in proper working condition
• Assist in responding to breakdowns and shutdowns
• Support artisans in ad hoc, preventive, and emergency maintenance tasks
• Attend daily planning and toolbox talks to understand priorities and safety considerations
• Prepare work areas, gather materials, and stage parts for scheduled jobs

Level of Education: high school
