DAPP Malawi is inviting suitably qualified, experienced and interested candidates to apply for the following positions:

AGRIBUSINESS/MARKETING OFFICER – 1 POSITION

Location: Balaka District

Project: SAMIS

Reports to: Project Manager

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide governance and technical training to cooperative leadership structures.
  • Strengthen cooperative business management systems and skills.
  • Support the development of profitable and sustainable business plans.
  • Train cooperative leaders in cash-flow projections and financial statements.
  • Promote value addition initiatives within cooperatives.
  • Facilitate registration of cooperatives with the Ministry of Trade and MBS.
  • Organise market meetings to facilitate potential trade agreements.
  • Conduct market research to identify viable opportunities.
  • Implement and strengthen market linkage strategies.
  • Link cooperatives to financial institutions to improve access to finance.
  • Promote Village Savings and Loans (VSL) as a source of capital.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum Diploma/Degree in Marketing, Business Management, Community Development or related field.
  • Over 5 years’ experience in M&E.
  • Previous experience working with DAPP is an added advantage.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and achieve project goals.
  • Ability to submit timely and high-quality reports.
  • Willingness to seek advice, obtain second opinions and accept guidance.
  • Knowledge of data subsets and disaggregation.
